DESCRIPTION:Ameren Illinois is hiring Apprentice Lineman and Apprentice Gas in Decatur\, IL and the surrounding area. We would like to invite you to attend our Apprentice Lineman and Apprentice Gas Employment Information Session.  This event is for candidates interested in becoming an apprentice lineman\, apprentice gas and who would like to learn more about our selection process. \n\n \n\nWe will discuss the following during the event:\n\n\n	Apprentice Lineman and Apprentice Gas Job Overview \n	Selection Process\n	Resume Tips\n	CAST Testing\n	Behavioral Interviewing\n\n\n Apprentice Line and Apprentice Gas Qualifications\n\n Minimum Requirements:\n\n\n	Must have high school diploma\n	Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) test and Ameren's Apprentice Lineman Evaluations or Apprentice Gas Evaluation\n\n\nIf offered a position\, candidates will be required to: \n\n\n	Take and pass the appropriate State/Federal driver's licensing requirements (obtain and maintain Class A CDL)\n	DOT Medical exam and drug screen\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n\n	Prior work experience in landscaping\, constructions or similar\n	Certifications or other credentials in electrical repair or similar \n\n\nTo be successful through selection process\, we look for a candidate who is:\n\n\n	Physically fit\n	Able to work with their hands\n	Comfortable with heights\n	Safety conscious \n	Positive in his/her approach to work and others\n	Comfortable working outdoors \n	Able to take instruction and retain it\n	Able to work without direct supervision\n	Able to reason or think through situations\n\n\nEvent Details:\n\n\n	When: April 16\, 2014    \n	Time:  5:30-7:30 PM\n	Dinner will be provided.\n\n\nRegistration:\n\n\n	Click on the link to register: http://ameren.avature.net/events?jobId=89\n	Registration deadline: Monday\, April 14th at 5:00PM.
