Farming remains a big part of the Poe family legacy\, as the next generation now farms in Sangamon County.\n\n\n\nBeyond the field\, Raymond has served as president of the Sangamon County Farm Bureau and Lincoln Land Farm Supply. He also spent 20 years in the General Assembly where he represented the 99th House District and served as a member of the House Agriculture and Conservation committee.\n\n\n\nRaymond Poe has received several prestigious awards\, honors and certificates of appreciation over the years. Among the accolades he is most proud of is the Friend of Agriculture award given to him by the Illinois Farm Bureau.\n\nRaymond and his wife Carol reside in Sangamon County.
