DESCRIPTION:Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 137 would like to invite you to our Annual Open House\, April 28th\, 2015 from 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM. The open House will take place at our Training Facility located at 2880 East Cook Street\, Springfield\, IL. 62526.\n\n\n\nOur "Industry Day" is an open invitation for everyone to witness some of the High quality training that we provide\, to our Apprentices and Journeymen alike. There will be tours of the Facility while our Apprentices are actually going through a typical day of class\, along with Training Trailers on site.\n\n\n\nLocal 137 Instructors will be available to answer questions on how we may be able to help you with specific training on any of your construction and maintenance needs. Our Local Officers will be on hand for introductions\, and to answer questions as well. Lunch will be provided for those attending during lunch time\, provided by Carters Fish Market professional staff.\n\n \n\nOn April 29th\, 2015\, we will have our 1st Annual Career Day at the same location listed above. In addition to the above mentioned activities\, the Career Day is geared towards interested applicants for Apprenticeship.\n\n\n\nLocal 137 Joint Apprentice Training Committee has partnered with Representatives from the following Apprenticeships: Ironworkers Local 46\, Operating Engineers Local 965\, IBEW local's 193 & 146\, Sheetmetal workers Local 218\, Painters Local 90\, Teamsters Local 916\, Carpenters Local 270\, and Cement Masons Local 18\, to provide "Future Apprentices" all of the information necessary to apply to the Apprenticeship associated with the Organizations listed above. \n\n\n\nAlong with all of this information\, there will be hands-on demonstrations for students and teachers as well to test their abilities. \n\n\n\nPlease take a day from your busy schedule to come visit\, take a tour\, and get to know our organization and the professional craftsman that are a valuable asset in the community. \n\nThanks and hope to see you here!
