Richard Guebert, Jr.
President, Illinois Farm Bureau
As the 15th president of the Illinois Farm Bureau® (IFB) and full time executive officer, Richard Guebert upholds the mission of IFB to improve the economic well-being of agriculture and enrich the quality of farm family life by telling the farmer’s story to the public, updating members on new technology and information that impacts agriculture, represents farmers in local, state, and national legislative and political activities, and providing marketing and education services to help IFB members improve their net farm income.
His presentation will highlight Illinois Farm Bureau’s 2015 Priorities and Current Issues, including efforts to raise member awareness and lead implementation of environmental stewardship practices; influence efforts to improve state and national fiscal climates; create opportunities for farmer profitability; increase visibility, credibility and awareness of IFB; and lead efforts to build consumer trust in Illinois farmers.
