Description
Paula Heinkel, Community Relations Coordinator at Ameren Illinois will be the featured speaker at the Chamber Business Breakfast on Wednesday, January 6, 2015.
Heinkel works between the company and the public to help inform customers about gas and electric issues, including safety, energy efficiency, reliability, and infrastructure improvements. She also works with municipal leaders during emergencies to keep them informed about outages and when power will be restored. She covers Decatur, Bloomington, Springfield, and the territory in between.
Prior to joining the team at Ameren, she was an award-winning investigative reporter and fill-in anchor at WAND TV. She is a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters and serves on the board. She is also a member of the Rotary Club Rotarian and is on the marketing committee of the Lincoln Trails Council of the Boy Scouts.
Ameren Illinois has embarked on an ambitious plan to improve the efficiency and reliability of the natural gas and electric energy delivery system throughout our 43,700 square-mile territory. Her presentation will feature, “Modernizing the Grid and the Impact on our Region,” and will focus on the major grid changes and how they will benefit customers, paying specific attention to projects and results in the Decatur area.
