Support local natural areas and wildlife at the \;Rock Springs Ramble\, featuring a 5K Run/Walk\, a 1-mile Run/Walk\, the Rock Springs Ramble Challenge\, and 1/4 mile Kids'\; Fun Run! \; \;
\n\nThis fundraiser supports the \;Macon County Conservation Foundation\, a non-profit organization that helps fund natural area restoration and educational programs at the \;Macon County Conservation District\, and its \;Rock Springs Nature Center.
\n\nThe Macon County Conservation Foundation wants to highlight the importance of natural areas and our need for fresh air and space in nature. By registering to run or walk\, you support these natural areas and their wildlife. In addition\, those registered for the 5k and 1-mile Run/Walk will receive a \;finisher'\;s medal\, t-shirt\, and a grab bag. \; Hand-painted wildlife rocks \;(created by local artist Sheryl Polley) \;will be awarded to top 3 finishers in 5 year age groups up 70 and over. \;Children registered for the Kids'\; Fun Run will receive a \;tree cookie medal and a nature themed item. \; \;
\n\nAfter the run\, join us for drinks from \;Door 4 Brewing Co. \;and a pizza lunch! All registrants \;21 and older \;will receive a ticket for \;one \;free drink. More drinks will be available for purchase.
\n\nPlease note that the 5K and 1-mile Run/Walk will begin and end in the Rock Springs Nature Center parking lot\, and the course will be on the paved Rock Springs-Fairview Bike Path. To qualify for the Rock Springs Ramble Challenge\, participants must register for both the 5K and the 1-mile.
\n\nRegistration is \;$35 for 5K Run/Walk\, $35 for \;1-mile Run/Walk\, \;and \;$10 for the Kids'\; Fun Run.
\n\nRegister by April 19th to receive T-shirt\, bag and finishers medal on race day.
