DESCRIPTION:ThinkWell Makerspace is inviting the community to celebrate its anniversary with a one-of-a-kind event featuring a local vendor market and the return of its crowd-favorite Belt Sander Drag Races. Taking place Saturday\, April 25 from 1 PM to 8 PM at ThinkWell Makerspace (120 N. Franklin St.\, upstairs at the library)\, the Anniversary Market will showcase up to 20 local vendors offering handmade goods\, art\, and unique products from small businesses across the area. In addition to shopping\, visitors can explore the makerspace\, meet the team\, and get a firsthand look at the tools\, projects\, and creative opportunities available inside. Adding to the excitement\, the event will also feature Belt Sander Drag Races\, where participants can bring their own belt sanders to compete in a head-to-head race format. Races begin at 1 PM and will include multiple heats and finals\, depending on participation. Both modified and unmodified divisions are welcome\, with safety guidelines in place. "This event really captures who we are\," said a ThinkWell Makerspace representative. "It's creative\, a little unconventional\, and built around bringing people together to make\, explore\, and have fun." The event is free to attend\, and both spectators and participants are welcome. Vendors will have items available for purchase throughout the day. Parking is available in the library lot and the downtown parking garage located just across the street.
