Gallery 510 will present October National 2017, an annual juried art exhibit, in the Anne Lloyd Gallery at the Madden Arts Center, 125 N. Water St. The exhibit, which celebrates original creativity and craftsmanship, features the work of 25 artists from states as far away as New York, New Jersey, California, and Maryland, as well as several talented Illinois artists. Works on display include a variety of media and styles from jewelry to painting, textiles to sculpture. The exhibit also gives special recognition to art honoring Breast Cancer Awareness month. Juror Jenny Chi, an accomplished figurative artist and Eastern Illinois University art teacher, will speak at 6 pm about the art work on exhibit and her choices for awards.
Blue Connection (also at the Madden Arts Center) will feature Millikin University alumni art. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
