Join us for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the Decatur Genealogical Society & Library's new location!
Event Details: The Decatur Genealogical Society & Library, the largest non-profit, non-tax supported genealogy library in Illinois, invites the community to celebrate their new home at 2623 E. Pershing Road. This special event marks an exciting milestone as they open their doors at this new location.
What to Expect:
- Ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 AM
- Door prizes and handouts
- Refreshments will be served
- Tours of the new facility
Learn more about this valuable community resource that serves as a repository for original Macon County records and family Bibles, featuring the largest Lincoln collection in the area. The library is staffed entirely by volunteers dedicated to preserving and sharing our local history.
