Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating Good Samaritan Inn's Mercy Garden expansion at 1212 Edward Street!
Event Details: Good Samaritan Inn invites the community to celebrate their newly expanded facilities and vision for the future. The City of Decatur recently provided 5 acres to enhance their garden operations, and this event will showcase these significant improvements and the organization's growing impact on the community.
What to Expect:
- Ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:45 PM
- Light appetizers from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM featuring produce grown in their garden
- Tours of the expanded facilities
- Learn about their vision for the future
About the Organization:
Good Samaritan Inn is a nonprofit located in Decatur that promotes food security by identifying and eliminating barriers to food access. They operate three primary programs: the Noon Meal, Mercy Gardens, and Mercy Market, all working together to feed our community.
