Join us as we recognize Main Place Properties on its 20th year in business. The ribbon cutting also marks the completion of the company's first Decatur Central TIF project, a residential development on Merchant Street that transformed a vacant office space into two finished apartments above Giggles. Each apartment offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms in a building that had stood empty for 60 years.
The event previews a second downtown project as well, in which Main Place Properties will convert office space in the Flora Gems building into 10 residential units, with completion planned for the end of 2027. Guests are welcome to tour the space during the open house, which runs until 1:00 PM. Sugar cookies from Giggles will be provided.
