Behavioral Health Counselor
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for providing professional counseling, crisis management and advocacy for patients. This individual consults with and advises medical and clinical staff on mental health issues of patients.
Position Status
This is a full-time, exempt position. The Behavioral Health Counselor reports to the Director of Behavioral Health Services.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in clinical social work, psychology or related field required
- LCSW or LCPC preferred
- CADC preferred (if primarily working with our substance use disorder patient population)
- Successful work history of direct patient counseling
