Position Overview:

DCC Marketing is looking for a Media Planner and Buyer to handle all media buying, with a particular focus on creating data driven campaigns across traditional, digital media, event sponsorships, and influencer campaigns. Reporting to the Managing Director of Accounts and Public Affairs, this role handles media strategy, planning, buying, performance analysis, and reconciliation across a portfolio of clients.  This person will have responsibility for working with clients to define objectives and KPI’s as well as devising methods for accurately measuring performance against those KPI’s. DCC Marketing has a highly collaborative approach and as such, your expertise will be combined with the knowledge of other team members to create an integrated client media strategy rooted in performance.


  • Perform research against defined audiences to identify best media opportunities  to reach them
  • Create media plans that meet client objectives including the presentation of media strategies and plans to clients.
  • Determine appropriate media partners for clients. Submit and evaluate RFP’s to those partners.
  • Negotiate with media partners on behalf of clients and the agency for most favorable rates, positioning and “added value” merchandising. Maintain effective working relationships with sales representatives and be the agency’s main point of contact for all media partners.
  • Work with internal digital teams to identify & integrate budgets, Create, launch, and maintain online ad campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Analyze real-time results and optimize buys to improve performance and assure contracted delivery.
  • Work with creative team to ensure optimal ad development and harmony between media and creative.
  • Work with internal teams to optimize creative and content strategies that align with campaign goals, delivery, and performance
  • Utilize internally developed cross-channel optimization tools to analyze performance.
  • Deliver campaign performance projections and analysis with eye towards future implications.
  • Collaborate with the account lead to communicate performance, optimization, various other tasks related to campaign execution and results.
  • Review proof of performance and vendor documentation to ensure media is running and performing as planned.
  • Receive, evaluate, and reconcile media invoices in collaboration with the Operations and Accounting Team for monthly client invoicing and against overall client and media budgets.
  • Monitor emerging industry trends in traditional and digital marketing. Meet with potential media and technology vendors.
