Description
The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Transportation Secretary, in coordination with the Illinois Capital Development Board and the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce, invite you to take part in an informal public meeting being conducted in Decatur.
This discussion is an important milestone to start a statewide conversation that lays the groundwork for a realistic, sustainable, plan for growing and maintaining our infrastructure, including our roads, transit systems, railroads and airports throughout Illinois.
These meetings are intended to be a listening tour, sparking conversation that ultimately leads to a package of recommendations that can be presented to Governor Rauner and General Assembly for consideration this spring.
Your presence will play an important role at this event:
- Further understand the importance of Illinois Infrastructure as it impacts our local, regional, and statewide business climate;
- Share a story about how your business will be impacted by transportation infrastructure that is not adequately overhauled;
- Join together with other community businesses and show support as they explain their needs to the Illinois Department of Transportation;
AGENDA:
- Welcome from Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce
- Main IDOT Presentation
- Capital Development Board Presentation
- Local Panel Discussion
- Question & Answer Session with Audience
- Open House Opportunity for Feedback
