Description
Parliamentary Procedure & Productive Meetings is a workshop for people who want the board and committee meetings that they lead or attend to be more productive. Participants will better understand the basic skills to effectively lead and participate in discussing using parliamentary rules. The workshop is sponsored by Decatur Emerging Leaders and presented by an experienced member of the Greater Decatur Chamber Toastmaster Club.
Participants in this workshop will learn:
- How to plan and conduct a productive meeting in which people feel treated fairly
- How to use parliamentary rules to manage the often-conflicting interests that develop during meetings
- Effective procedures that ensure decisions are made fairly
- Types of motions that make meetings more productive
- Proper steps in handling a motion
