Production Operator
Pay Range: $24.00 – $30.00 / hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of high-quality printing ink by weighing raw materials, operating industrial mixing equipment, and ensuring all batches meet precise specifications. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable with basic math, follows formula instructions meticulously, and maintains an organized workspace to ensure product consistency and site safety.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately weigh batches as assigned, following directions on batch tickets and verifying all raw material inventories before beginning.

Select the proper mixing containers for each batch and ensure they are clean and appropriately sized for the specific formula.

Record all figures, lot numbers, and raw materials on batch tickets to ensure full traceability and quality control.

Operate and maintain industrial mixers, including performing basic lubrication and reporting any mechanical defects.

Take quality batch samples for inspection and make additions or adjustments as directed to meet product standards.

Understand the operation of pumps and pressure differentials to properly filter ink using required bags and cartridges.

Move finished batches to staging areas and operate forklifts as needed (on-site training will be provided).

Maintain a clean work area daily, properly disposing of scrap materials and following all safety rules and regulations.
Skill Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Proficiency in basic mathematics and the ability to read digital and manual scales.

Fluency in English (reading and writing) to interpret batch tickets and safety instructions.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, bend, and use continuous hand movements for the duration of a shift.

Clear vision for reading detailed instructions and scales.

Willingness to use all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety protocols.

Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
-
Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Minimal knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Prior experience in chemical mixing, ink production, or a similar manufacturing environment.

Previous experience with industrial pumps or filtration systems.
