The featured speaker will be Dr. Patrick White, 15th President of Millikin University. Dr. White will be speaking about "The Challenge and the Promise".
Much has been written about sweeping changes in American higher education.  How is Millikin responding to the challenges facing colleges and universities across the county?  How do the contemporary challenges compare with those of the past?   What is the value of a university degree in the 21^st century?
Drawing on his experience as a faculty member, chief academic officer, and innovative leader at other colleges including seven years as president of Wabash College, Millikin’s 15th President Patrick White will address these and other questions with special attention to Millikin’s distinctive commitment to performance learning and the special and valuable relationship between Millikin and Decatur, Macon County, and central Illinois.
