"Solutions to Your Everyday Needs" hosted by Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance
This seminar provides information about:
1. How to Reduce Unemployment Claims Expenses: Step-by-step procedures on gathering information, protesting and appealing unemployment insurance claims.
2. Work Opportunity Tax Credit: Learn how to reduce the cost of doing business, while helping those most in need gain valuable work experience. Incentives start at $2,400 to as high as $9,600 in tax credits for one individual hire from the IRS.
3. Wage Incentives for Employers: The On-the-Job Training program provides wage incentives up to 90% to employers when hiring an eligible worker.
4. Illinois Job Link.Com: Enhance your ability to find qualified candidates for employment through an Internet database designed for both employers and job seekers.
5. Employ Illinois Veterans: Veteran: A trained, trainable, disciplined, dependable worker. Get information about VA On-the-Job-Training, VA Apprenticeships, Veteran’s programs, tax credits and incentives
6. Employment and Training Services: Information about the variety of services available to customers, both job seekers and employers, at the workNet Center.
7. OFCCP (State of Illinois Requirements): Learn how a Federal Contractor satisfies the job listing requirements with the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the State’s labor exchange system: Illinois Job Link.Com.
8. Fidelity Bonding Program for Employer: How employers can apply for fidelity bonds through IDES and who qualifies.
9. Illinois Labor Market Information: Data on statewide or local wages paid for particular jobs, industry projections and the condition of the labor force.
