Toastmasters Informational Meeting

The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce will partner with Toastmasters International to host an informational meeting to determine the interest of local businesses to participate in a new Toastmasters Club.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. With membership of more than 332,000 participants, members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,400 clubs in 135 countries that make up the global network of meeting locations. Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience where members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

“The chamber of commerce is working to provide a variety of leadership development programs, money savings opportunities, custom training and coaching to support the growth of local businesses. This is a chance for our members to provide developmental opportunities for business owners and associates to grow their confidence in public speaking skills and leadership roles,” says Mark Sturgell, Program Director for the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce.

The Toastmasters informational meeting is one of the first of many new program opportunities that is part of a strategy to create additional leadership development, business growth, and customized training and coaching solutions coordinated by the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce.
