Job Title: Third Shift Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (hours may vary slightly)
Location: Decatur, IL
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire

We are currently hiring for a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a leading manufacturing facility on third shift in Decatur, IL. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong computer and data entry skills who enjoy problem-solving and working independently.

Key Responsibilities

Process and verify inbound and outbound shipments
Accurately enter shipping and inventory data into tracking systems
Maintain documentation such as packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices
Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies using problem-solving skills
Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain accurate records of shipping/receiving activities
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures

Experience

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory roles is a plus
Manufacturing or logistics experience is preferred but not required

Skills

Strong computer proficiency (Excel, data entry, documentation)
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Ability to consistently work third shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday–Friday
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally

Education

High school diploma or GED required
