A health-conscious consumer food production and packaging operation in Decatur, IL shipping to niche skin care retailers is looking for Production Supervisor.
Job Requirements for Production Supervisor
- Supervisory experience, preferably in fast food or a food products industry
- Experience in production and manufacturing processes in a food-grade environment is preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food industry raw materials and food handling procedures
- Previous experience in food service management is a plus
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards and good manufacturing practices
- Solid computer skills
- Ability to analyze, think critically, and solve problems
Job Responsibilities for Production Supervisor
- Plan and schedule production
- Implement and control the production schedule
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement
- Oversee all aspects of production
- Set and monitor product quality standards
- Endure production requirements and customer deadlines are met
- Determine and implement improvements to the production process
- Develop budgets and control costs
