Spherion is looking a results-driven Project Manager for a premier third-party logistics (3PL) provider in Decatur, IL. This is a Direct Hire opportunity, providing immediate permanent placement with the client from day one.

The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between warehouse operations and external clients. This role is responsible for account implementation, operational optimization, and the successful execution of logistics projects within a high-volume environment.

Schedule and Compensation

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Decatur, IL

Core Responsibilities

Client Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for third-party partners, ensuring all contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs) are maintained.
Project Lifecycle Oversight: Lead the implementation of new client accounts, including space allocation, resource coordination, and system integration.
Process Improvement: Analyze operational data and warehouse KPIs to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance throughput.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with warehouse floor leadership to align daily activities with specific client requirements.
Technical Reporting: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel to generate comprehensive performance and inventory reports for stakeholders.

Position Requirements

Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Project Management or Supervisory experience specifically within a 3PL, warehouse, or distribution environment.
Technical Proficiency: High level of competence in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage client expectations and lead professional meetings.
Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of supply chain flow, inventory control, and logistics project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
Professional certification such as PMP or CAPM.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies.
