Mechanic
Mechanic | 7:00AM – 3:30PM | Monday – Friday | $20.00 - $22.00/hr
An Automotive Mechanic is needed for the repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles for a Macon County municipality.
Job Requirements for Mechanic
- Knowledge and practical experience in basic vehicle maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires)
- Ability to diagnosis vehicle problems is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
Job Responsibilities Mechanic
- Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles (cars, small trucks, snowplows, dump trucks)
- Perform oil changes
- Replace brakes and tires
- Complete work order documentation
- Fuel vehicles
- Order parts
