An authorized distributor of recreational vehicles has an immediate need for an Accounting Manager. This is a family owned and operated business with four locations in central and southern Illinois. The accounting manager will have broad responsibilities for the financial success of the company. Total compensation incudes benefits in addition to annual salary.
Job Requirements for Accounting Manager
- Previous accounting experience (5 years minimum)
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles
- A degree in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks preferred)
- Excellent skills in data analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous accounting manager experience is preferred
- Organizational skills
- Payroll, timekeeping experience is a plus
- Previous tax reporting experience is a plus
Job Responsibilities for Accounting Manager
- Plan, implement and supervise the company’s financial strategy across four locations
- Manage the company’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and inventory
- Manage cash flow
- Manage debt financing requirements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Print checks
- Supervise three direct reports
- Make general ledger and journal entries
- Analyze financial accounting data
- Create financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Process payroll
