Payroll Specialist | 7:30AM – 4:00PM | Mon-Fri | $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr

A full-service industrial contracting and construction company headquartered in Decatur, Illinois is looking for a Payroll Specialist.

Qualifications for Payroll Specialist

The successful candidate should have experience in payroll processing and be proficient in the use of MS Office Products.

• Experience in payroll processing is preferred
• Experience in multi-state payroll is a plus
• Previous payroll tax reporting experience is a plus
• 2-3 years of office clerical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Typing and data entry to be evaluated based on both speed and accuracy
• Mathematical, spelling, and grammar skills are important
• Ability to work in a team environment with all departments
• Organized
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Desire to provide the highest levels customer service

Job Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist

• Input numeric data into the payroll system
• Download and edit payroll files from onsite contractor locations
• Review payroll reports for accuracy
• Resolve timecard questions and discrepancies
• Run reports
• Maintain an organized work area
• Keep filing current
